Be Well: Messages from Moms on Living Healthier Lives is a collection of stories compiled by the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation and the Alliance for a Healthier Generation. The book showcases moms who are working to establish lifelong, healthy habits in their kids with the hope that their stories will inspire other parents to help their children establish healthy eating and exercising habits. Featuring moms across the country who hail from all walks of life, when reading this book, you'll find ideas and inspiration that bridge a variety of cultures, lifestyles and communities.
To create Be Well, a nationwide search was conducted to find moms who were coming up with their own ways to make their homes and communities healthier places for children. To keep the collection of stories dynamic and growing, the project is also encouraging moms to share more of their personal stories.
Intended to be a resource for parents everywhere, Be Well is available at no or low cost in physical and digital form, as well as in English and Spanish. Stories from moms and a wealth of tips and resources are also featured on the book's website.
