Started in 2009 by founders Mark and Suzi Lilly, Farm to Family is a mobile food distribution business based in Richmond, VA. Observing the huge disconnect in both understanding and distance between food and where it comes from, coupled with seeing so many families without access to high-quality, nutritious, fresh food, Mark and Suzi were inspired to connect local farms with communities.

In addition to the new Farm to Family store, Farm to Family distributes locally grown food to areas that don't have access to fresh food from a converted school bus! This "farmers' market on wheels" not only connects families to nutritious food, but also teaches people what it is, where it comes from and how to cook it. In addition to its regular route, the bus will also make stops on request to homes, offices and schools. "If you can't get to the farmers' market," Mark says, "I'll bring the farmers' market to you!"
