Louie's Kids raises money to identify and invest in a variety of high-impact interventions, such as activity-based memberships, sports and physical conditioning opportunities, camp experiences and counseling for overweight and obese children. Responding to a growing concern about her students lack of physical activity and awareness about healthy foods, teacher Troy Lynn Lavigne was inspired to attend Head Start's "I Am Moving, I Am Learning" (IMIL) training to teach her kids about healthy eating to get kids moving and thinking about nutrition. She completed her training through Choosy Kids, the National Training Team for Head Start.

Mom and "mother hen" Leslie Smith Grant started the Chickin Feed company to address an issue that busy parents and kids face every day: how to teach and remind each other what kind of healthy foods they should be eating. She first came up with the simple Chickin Feed Tracking Board, and now the company is off and growing with other helpful products like the Chickin Feed Primer and Chickinware.
