Rachael Ray’s Yum-o! Organization Shares Its Strength

Yum-o! recently donated funds to help end hunger in the classroom by supporting Share Our Strength’s work surrounding school breakfast programs. Yum-o!'s Director, Andrew Kaplan, reflects what inspired him to get involved with helping kids gain access to school breakfasts on Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry blog.

My work with Rachael Ray’s Yum-o!® organization opens the door to some pretty extraordinary experiences in what are sometimes not-so-ordinary circumstances. Some of these experiences have been in conjunction with Share Our Strength, one of Yum-o!’s national partners that we collaborate with as part of the “Feed” component of our mission. In particular, I’ve participated in two of their Hinges of Hope tours – one in New Orleans and the other in New York City – both times affording me the opportunity to see first-hand the work they do to fight hunger. Not only were these experiences eye-opening, but both times I sat down with Rachael Ray immediately afterwards to share more about this work...
