Yum-o! is teaming up with a variety of partner organizations to accomplish the three work areas of our mission: Cook, Feed and Fund. By working together with these organizations, we hope to make a lasting impact on the issues that we are passionate about.
The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) serves as the nonprofit educational arm of the National Restaurant Association and focuses on helping the restaurant and foodservice industry recruit and retain a qualified and diverse workforce. Reflecting Yum-o!’s commitment to fund cooking education and scholarships, Yum-o! and the NRAEF have launched a scholarship initiative aimed at providing funds to high school students committed to pursuing a career in the restaurant and foodservice industry. You can learn more about Yum-o!'s partnership with the NRAEF, here.
Feeding America is the nation's leading domestic hunger-relief charity, feeding America's hungry through a nationwide network of member food banks and engaging people nationwide in the fight to end hunger. Each year, the Feeding America network provides food to more than 37 million low-income people facing hunger in the United States, including more than 14 million children and nearly 3 million seniors. Yum-o! supports Feeding America's vision through our Feed program area by providing funding to support the purchase of food through initiatives such as Yum-o!'s "If You Can...We Can!" food drive. In addition, Rachael is a member of Feeding America's Entertainment Council, where she serves as a spokesperson on the issue of childhood hunger and raises awareness about Feeding America's mission. You can learn more about Yum-o!'s partnership with Feeding America, here.
As a core part of Yum-o!'s Feed program area, Yum-o! is partnering with Share Our Strength® (SOS) to raise money in support of their leading priority: ending childhood hunger in America. By offering ongoing, direct financial support and through Rachael Ray's appearances in support of SOS, Yum-o! is excited to be working in partnership with this longstanding, community-based organization to reach out to at-risk kids and surround them with the nutritious food they need to learn, grow and thrive. Find out more about Yum-o!'s partnership with SOS.
Yum-o! and the Alliance for a Healthier Generation are collaborating to empower families across America to make healthier food choices by providing them with the tools and information they need to transform their eating habits. Together, we hope to continue to build a broader movement in America to help kids live longer and healthier lives and to educate kids and their families about cooking. As one example of how we're achieving this goal, check out the Yum-o! Kitchen Road Map, a monthly publication that gives you tips and recipes for every month of the year. More information about Yum-o!'s work with the Alliance for a Healthier Generation is available, here.
