In addition, the Alliance's Healthy Schools initiative is the nation's most extensive effort to prevent childhood obesity in schools, encompassing more than 16,000 schools in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, while their Healthy Out-of-School Time program is working with afterschool programs, community centers, clubs and camps to improve wellness for participating kids.
