Food for Kids

February 15, 2010  •

Chef Joseph Ciminera, host of several nationally syndicated cooking shows, has created Food for Kids, a 7-day meal plan for kids and families and a companion educational DVD. Food for Kids is the result of two years of Chef Ciminera traveling throughout the country and trying out his recipes on real kids, so the final recipes are guaranteed kid-approved, super healthy and easy to make!

Available online, Chef Ciminera’s DVD reviews cooking techniques that promote healthy eating and explains his healthy meal plan. It provides step-by-step step demonstrations of his recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. The plan is broken down for each day of the week and then again by each meal. This enables parents and children to follow along with Chef Ciminera as he prepares easy, delicious and nutritious meals and snacks.

Chef Ciminera also shows how eating healthy is not about completely overhauling what your family eats, but about substituting certain ingredients for healthier options. As a parent, encouraging kids to try new foods can be a nerve-wracking experience, but Chef Ciminera offers tips for making unfamiliar healthy foods more appealing to kids the first time around and discusses small changes that can make a big difference in the way your child eats.
