Hunger Hits Home Documentary

Food Network and Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry® Campaign teamed up on a new documentary, Hunger Hits Home, which aired on Food Network earlier this spring and is also available for viewing online. The film takes a first-hand look at the crisis of childhood hunger in America through the eyes of the parents, children and others on the frontlines of the battle. It powerfully shows the impact hunger has on a child and provides an urgent call to action.

Inspired by learning first-hand about experiences similar to what are showcased in the the film, Yum-o! recently donated funds to Share Our Strength to help end hunger in the classroom. Yum-o!’s Director, Andrew Kaplan, reflected on Yum-o!’s involvement with Share Our Strength in their No Kid Hungry blog.
